Shatrughan Sinha previously said he wasn’t aware of Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding plans.
Shatrughan Sinha said that such conflicts happen in every house and things are alright now in his family.
Shatrughan Sinha has confirmed that there were some tensions in his family about Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. However, the veteran actor has also clarified that all “stress” has been resolved now and they are okay. In addition to this, Shatrughan also revealed that June 23 is not Sonakshi’s wedding date, as several reports have mentioned. In fact, it is the date of her reception.
Speaking to Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha said, “It is the wedding reception that we are all attending on the evening of June 23.” Clarifying the date again, the veteran actor said, “No one from my family said anything about a wedding. Some media outlets have just been presuming things. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter.”
“Shadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever the stress has been sorted,” he said and added, “Koi wand nahi hai. Yeh sab hota hi hai har shaadi main. Just because she is Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, it doesn’t mean Sonakshi can’t have what she wants in life. Hum log bohot maza karenge June 23 ko.”
Rumours of a rift between Sonakshi and Shatrughan first began after the actor said that he was not aware of her forthcoming wedding. However, Shatrughan, in a recent interview, called out those who are spreading “lies” against his family. “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I’m very proud of and immensely fond of,” Shatrughan told Times Now.com/Zoom. “She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?”
Shatrughan said that Sonakshi has “every right to choose her partner” and he is supportive of her decision. Commenting on his daughter’s husband-to-be, Shatrughan said, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live their life together. They look very nice together.”
He continued, “Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business.”
As for Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding reception, the list of invitees includes Salman Khan, Honey Singh, the cast of Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Daisy Shah and Poonam Dhillon among others.
