Shark Tank India concluded in the first week of February. It’s been over a month, but fans still haven’t recovered from it. Social media is flooded with Shark Tank India memes and if you haven’t shared it yet, you are definitely living under a rock.
Recently, content creator Ashish Chanchlani has shared a video named ‘Cheap Shark Tank’. As the name suggests, this is a spoof video that presents the show and its sharks in a hilarious way with their signature comments. Bharat Pe’s Ashneer Grover has been roped in as Paneer Grover, while Babita Papad is a parody version of Namita Thapar. The parody version of Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal is by Chaman Gutka, the funder of Bakri and Uttapam Misal, the founder of Talaq.com. In the parody video, Ashish Chanchlani is himself playing a spoofed version of Ashneer Grover. From Namita’s ‘I’m out’ to Ashneer’s ‘Main tera doglapan niktal hoon’, the video also mentions several tag lines of sharks.
While netizens are loving the video, Ashneer also couldn’t stop himself from praising it. After Ashish shared pictures and short clips of ‘Cheap Shark Tank’ on Instagram, Ashneer reacted to it and called it ‘hilarious’. “Enjoyable! What an act by all the sharks!! Cheap and durable,” he wrote.
Several other fans also reacted to the video and called it ‘number one’. A fan wrote for Ashish, “Brother love your stuff, big fans keep it up.” Another social media user commented, “Every damn reference counted and the fact how beautifully executed, budget was invested in this video, what a feeling the whole time!! Congratulations to the team, @ ashchanchlani redeemed it.”
For Unvers, Shark Tank India had a simple concept – budding entrepreneurs lend their business ideas to ‘sharks’ (all of whom are already India’s leading entrepreneurs) to gain investment. The show was judged by Ashneer Grover, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Vinita Singh, Ghazal Alagh and Piyush Bansal. The last episode of the show aired on 4 February.
