Shark Tank India’s Anupam Mittal’s reaction to ‘character assassination’ in Ashish Chanchlani’s parody video: ‘Ignore…’

Shark Tank India finished its first season a few months back but became a ratings juggernaut towards the end of its run, which kept the momentum going for weeks.

Anupam recently took to Instagram to share an appreciation post for his mother-in-law. In the comment section of the post, a fan asked, “Sir, don’t you think the way Ashish portrayed you in his cheap Shark Tank is so wrong! Like, is it okay to assassinate someone in the name of comedy? I really don’t know what your opinion is on this, but when I saw that video, I felt really bad!”

Anupam replied, “Ignore, bhi apna ghar chalana hai (he also has to earn his bread). Anyway no one can kill my character except me. He keeps the privilege with himself (I doesn’t give anyone this privilege),” and added the wink-face emoji. Following this, a minor social media war broke out between Ashish Chanchlani’s fans and the person who posted the original comment.

in the show, Shaadi.com co-founders appeared on a panel that also included Ashneer Grover, Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thakur, Aman Gupta, Piyush Bansal and Vinita Singh. Anupam was known for his calm nature and hoarse voice. On the other hand, Ashneer was impressed by Ashish’s video. “Enjoyable! What an act by all the sharks!! Cheap and durable,” he wrote while sharing the video in the comments section of Ashish’s Instagram post.

In linkedin Post, Anupama had revisited his most memorable achievements during the show. He said he invested a total of Rs 5.4 crore in 24 companies, many of which were founded by ‘young’ entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs. Shark Tank India is based on the Native American show, which has been running successfully for 13 years since 2019.
