In the upcoming episode of Shark Tank India, owners of Artinci, a brand selling sugar-free desserts, will be seen pitching their products to sharks.

Ever since Shark Tank India returned with its third season, it has been making headlines. Recently, the makers of the show dropped a promo of the upcoming episode in which ‘Shark’ Vineeta Singh was seen calling a business model of pitchers ‘senseless’.

The promo featured the owners of Artinci – a brand selling sugar-free desserts – pitching their product to sharks. They reveal that their product resolves dessert cravings for diabetes patients. After tasting their coconut ice cream, Vineeta Singh said, “Bohot yum hai (This is very tasty)”. Namita Thapar also added, “Generally, sugar-free products have an aftertaste, but this tastes like this has got sugar.”

When Namita asked pitchers about their sales, they said, “Last year, we did Rs 4.4 crore.” Anupam then enquired about the profits when the owners revealed that they were facing losses instead. “There was no profit, there was a loss of Rs 5 crore,” they said. This left Vineeta Singh shocked, who then called the business model ‘senseless’ and said, “You were selling on unit-level loss and this is senseless.”

It will be interesting to see if the pitchers will get a deal from Sharks.
