Shalin Bhanot will reportedly replace Hussain Kuwajerwala as the host of the upcoming season of Indian Idol.
Shalin Bhanot needs no special introduction in the world of TV. The actor is currently busy shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in Romania. Amid this, rumours are now circulating that Shalin is set to replace Hussain Kuwajerwala as the host of the upcoming season of Indian Idol. According to Tellychakkar, auditions for the singing reality show are currently underway. The show is expected to go on floors from September. As per reports, the Indian Idol producers are on the hunt for a fresh face in the upcoming season. Looking at the Shalin’s popularity, spontaneity and vibrant personality, the makers are eager to bring him on board as the show’s host.
A source close to the production shared, “Last season was anchored by Hussain Kuwajerwala but the makers are looking for a fresh face this year. Shalin has been a top choice as while he may not have hosted reality shows before he is spontaneous and lively which was a top requirement for the makers.”
Shalin Bhanot was offered Khatron Ke Khiladi last season by host Rohit Shetty after he had won a task in the Bigg Boss 16 house. Back then, Shalin refused to be part of the show due to his fear of creepy crawlies. However, the actor agreed to be part of the upcoming season and is reportedly among the strongest contestants as he’s getting appreciation from the host.
Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14 includes Krishna Shroff, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Abhishek Kumar, Shilpa Shinde, Asim Riaz, Aashish Mehrotra, Karan Veer Mehra, Niyati Fatnani, Aditi Sharma and Sumona Chakravarti.
For those not aware, Shalin Bhanot has been a part of several reality shows in his acting journey, starting with Roadies 2, Nach Baliye 4 with his ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur and Bigg Boss 16. Now, it will be interesting to witness Shalin’s hosting skills in Indian Idol 15.
The last season of the singing reality show was hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala, while Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal and Kumar Sanu were in the judge’s panel.
