Shahrukh Khan was born on 2 November 1965 in a Muslim family in New Delhi. He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore with his maternal grandfather Iftikhar Ahmed. His father, Mir Taj Mohammad Khan, moved to New Delhi in 1948 after the partition of India.[15] Khan’s mother Latif Fatima was the daughter of a senior government engineer. SRK attended St. Columbia’s School in Central Delhi. In his youth, he acted in stage plays and won praise for his imitations of Bollywood actors, among whom his favorites were Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz.
SRK enrolled at Hansraj College (1985–88) to pursue a bachelor’s degree in economics, but spent most of his time at the Theater Action Group (TAG) in Delhi, where he studied acting under the advice of theater director Barry John. did. After Hansraj, he pursued his masters in mass communication at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left to pursue his acting career.
Shah Rukh started his professional acting career with television, later transitioning to films. His highest-grossing films include the comedies Chennai Express (2013), Happy New Year (2014), Dilwale (2015), and the crime film Raees (2017). He has acted in only a few films over the years. Jab Harry Met Sejal, Dear Zindagi, Raees and Dilwale are among them. His last release was 2018’s Zero, which thrashed badly at the box office. Despite having no releases in almost three years, Shah Rukh is one of the most respected and sought-after stars in India. He is set to return with a film from Yash Raj Films with Pathan and South director Atlee. Expectations are high for both the films. The recent incident of his son Aryan Khan getting implicated in a drug case once again showed that Shah Rukh’s fans are with him, and waiting for him, no matter what.
