From Shahid Kapoor’s Bloody Daddy to Vijay Sethupathi’s Mumbaikar, a look at the new movies and series announced on Wednesday.
From the first look of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film Bloody Daddy to revealing the title of Sara Ali Khan’s new film starring Vicky Kaushal and Laxman Utekar, Wednesday night saw a lot of new revelations. Jio Studios hosted a slate announcement event called Infinite Together in which several films and series were announced. Among the first few announcements was Shahid Kapoor’s Bloody Daddy.
While the first look was released on Wednesday evening, Shahid took center stage and shared a glimpse of his action film. The actor and the production house confirmed that the film is going straight to OTT and will release this June. Meanwhile, the sizzle reel played at the event also revealed Sara Ali Khan And Vicky Kaushal’s new film has been named Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The event also announced that Vijay Sethupathi is making his comeback in Hindi with a project titled Mumbaikar.
It was also learned that Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor Coming together for a film titled Bhool Chuk Maaf. Other titles announced at the event included Amitabh Bachchan’s Section 84, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s Zara Hatke Zara Bachche, Vikrant Massey and Mouni Roy’s Blackout, Vijay Sethupathi’s Mumbaikar, The Storyteller starring Paresh Rawal and Adil Hussain, by Pratik Gandhi Starring Dhoom Dham and Yami Gautam and Empire featuring Taapsee Pannu and Arvind Swami. One of the most anticipated films of the banner is Shah Rukh Khan’s Danki.
On the OTT front, the studio announced titles such as Laal Batti, a political thriller starring Nana Patekar and Sanjay Kapoor, Union: The Making of India with Kay Kay Menon and Ashutosh Rana, Inspector Avinash, starring Randeep Hooda, Rafuchakkar. Manish Paul, Bajao with rapper Raftaar, Shiri Ka Jadoo with TV’s favorite Divyanka Tripathi, Doctors starring Sharad Kelkar, A Legal Case starring Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi and many more.
Apart from Hindi, it was also learned that the production house would be exploring titles in regional languages including Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, South and Bhojpuri.
