Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ to be released in Russia and CIS countries on July 13

Shahrukh KhanIndia’s blockbuster espionage film “Pathan” will release in over 3000 screens across Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The film, which hit Indian cinemas on January 25, is directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars John abraham And Deepika Padukone, It has earned over Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office. “@yrf’s landmark blockbuster #Pathaan creates another record – gets widest release for an Indian film in dubbed version across Russia & CIS! It will release on 13th July across 3000+ screens in the region,” press note read.

CIS countries include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

Pathan hit the Bangladeshi screens on 12 May. It is indeed a big achievement for Team Pathan as it is the first Hindi film released after 1971 when the country was formed. Yash Raj Films released a statement saying, “Cinema has always been a binding force between nations, races and cultures. It crosses boundaries, inspires and plays a vital role in bringing people together We are incredibly thrilled that Pathan, who has done landmark business around the world, will now get a chance to entertain audiences in Bangladesh!”

It further added, “Pathan has become the first Hindi film to release in Bangladesh since 1971 and we are grateful to the authorities for their decision. We have learned over the years that Shah Rukh Khan has a tremendous fan following in Bangladesh and we Feel Pathan, our latest offering from YRF’s Spy Universe, is the perfect Shah Rukh Khan and Hindi cinema’s first film to release in the country and showcases Indian culture and cinema in all its glory.”

“Pathan”, a mega comeback vehicle for Shah Rukh after his absence from the lead role for over four years, marks a significant step in YRF’s espionage franchise where characters from different films will cross paths at some point. The film follows the titular spy (Shah Rukh) who comes out of exile to stop terrorist group Outfit X from launching a debilitating attack on India. After this, this is the fourth film in the detective world of producer Aditya Chopra. Salman Khan‘s “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Tiger Zinda Hai”, and “War”, featuring Hrithik Roshan.

On the work front, Shah Rukh is currently gearing up for his second big release of the year. Directed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara. The film will hit the theaters on 7 September.
