Shah Rukh Khan and son AbRam wrap up dubbing for Mufasa: The Lion King. SRK sneaks out in style, avoiding paparazzi.
Shah Rukh Khan and his youngest son, AbRam, are all set to share the screen — or at least the sound booth — for the upcoming animated film Mufasa: The Lion King. As fans eagerly await the Hindi version of this Disney epic, which is scheduled to release on December 20, 2024, SRK and AbRam were recently spotted leaving a dubbing studio in Mumbai, hinting that their parts are now complete.
In a video shared by Viral Bhayani, Shah Rukh Khan was seen exiting the studio at midnight, surrounded by his security team. The 59-year-old superstar kept it casual yet stylish in a plain T-shirt, blue denim, a beanie, and sneakers. Avoiding the waiting paparazzi and fans, he quickly headed to his luxury car with his manager.
Earlier in the evening, SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan, was seen leaving the same studio with AbRam. Dressed in a relaxed black co-ord set, Suhana seemed to be the one who accompanied her younger brother to his dubbing session. For those unfamiliar, in Mufasa: The Lion King, Shah Rukh will voice the senior Mufasa, while AbRam will lend his voice to young Mufasa, marking his first foray into the entertainment industry. Additionally, Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra will provide the voices for Timon and Pumbaa in the Hindi version.
This prequel to Disney’s The Lion King (2019 remake) will explore Mufasa’s origin story. Interestingly, in the 2019 Hindi version, SRK’s eldest son, Aryan Khan, voiced Simba, making Mufasa a full-circle moment for the Khan family. Disney India’s official Instagram handle confirmed the casting with a teaser and captioned it, “The king @iamsrk is back as Mufasa, with #AryanKhan and #AbRamKhan by his side. Mufasa: The Lion King in cinemas 20th December.”
On his recent birthday, November 2, SRK opened up about the joys and challenges of fatherhood. He humorously revealed that he spent his birthday morning helping each of his children with their issues. He fixed AbRam’s device, sorted out Suhana’s wardrobe dilemma, and addressed Aryan’s concerns. Reflecting on these moments, he said, “The more kids you have, the more patient you become,” a mantra he carries both at home and on set.
With AbRam’s debut just around the corner, fans are excited to see (or hear) the youngest Khan make his mark alongside his legendary father.
