Haryana’s Faridabad Police has arrested a man who cheated divorced women by showing them dreams of marriage. The accused used to clear their property by targeting middle-aged women. The police had been looking for the 48-year-old accused Arjun Dev for a long time following a complaint from a victim.

Raped on the pretext of marriage and ran away after selling flat

The first case against the accused was filed in 2017 by a 45-year-old woman from Faridabad. The woman said that the accused Arjun Dev kept raping her on the pretext of marriage. Then one day after selling his flat, he fled with all the money. The cost of the flat was Rs 70 lakh.

Another victim came in front, ran away with a loan in the name

After the arrest of the accused, another victim has also come forward. She alleged that Arjun Dev has also cheated her in the name of marriage. The accused bought the flat by taking a loan in the name of the woman and then disappeared after refusing to marry.

Was dodging the police for years, was caught in Noida

The accused Arjun Dev is originally from Jalandhar in Punjab. He was constantly changing his whereabouts for the past several years to avoid arrest. But finally the police has arrested him from Noida.

During interrogation, the accused made many shocking revelations. He told that he has already been married twice. However, he later got divorced from both his wives.
