Jaipur: Seven Rajasthan players won their respective matches to enter the finals in various categories of the Rajasthan Classic Squash Championship being played at the Rajasthan Squash Academy, SMS Stadium, here on Sunday.
In the senior men’s section, the title match will be played between Maharashtra’s Rahul Baitha and top seed Suraj Chand who defeated Vedansh Kushwaha 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 and Ashray Ohri 11-4, 11-3, 11-6, respectively in the semifinals.
Suraj Chand outplayed Ashray Ohri 11-4, 11-3, 11-6 in the semifinal. In the boys’ Under-11, Fareed Andrabi of Jaipur trounced Ruan Tadanki 11-3, 11-2, 11-1. In the final, Fareed will face Aryan Prabhu, who defeated Shaurya Chandak 11-3, 11-2, 11-7. In the girls’ section, Divyanshi Jain of Jaipur will take on Chhavi Panchal. Divyanshi defeated Aradhana Singh 6-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-6 and Chhavi brushed aside Manya Sanghvi 11-5, 11-6, 11-2.
In the boys’ Under-15, Subhash Chaudhary of Jaipur sailed past Abdus Samad 11-5, 11-7, 11-2 and Savir Sood overpowered Rahul Sanjay 5-11, 14-12, 2-11, 11-8, 11- 5 to make it to the final. Among girls, Ritwika Singh Bundela of Jaipur beat Samaira Bhandari 11-5, 11-4, 11-9 while Aaradhya Porwal defeated Ishika Anand 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 to enter the title clash.
Avalokit Singh of Jaipur defeated Dev Sharma 12-10, 11-4, 9-11, 11-7 to enter the final of boys’ Under-17 where he will face Yuvraj Wadhwani who beat Dishant Murjani 11-5, 11-6, 11-4.
In the girls Under-17 section, top seed Yashi Jain of Jodhpur beat Tisha Jasani 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 and will meet Khushboo in the final. Khushboo cruised past Howrah Bhanpurawala 11-3, 11-1, 11-1. In Under-19 boys, Lakshya Gwala of Jodhpur defeated Ajay Rathi 11-5, 11-8, 11-6 and Ekam Singh of Chandigarh beat Dravya Jain 11-3, 11-3, 11-3 to enter the final.
