  • Campaign launched on all four divisions and stations with Kolkata Headquarters

Kolkata/Chakradharpur. In South Eastern Railway, Swachhta-Pakhwada was started on 16th September by General Manager Archana Joshi at Garden Reach Headquarters. During this, General Manager Archana Joshi administered the oath to all the major Heads of Departments, senior officers and employees of the Headquarters to maintain cleanliness at the workplace. On the instructions of the General Manager, programs on cleanliness fortnight were organized in four divisions of South Eastern Railway. Cleanliness drive was also launched in Chakradharpur, Kharagpur, Adra, and Ranchi on behalf of Railway officers and employees. Loco sheds, MEMU sheds, booking and parcel offices, railway colonies, railway platforms etc. have been brought under the mission of Swachhta Pakhwada.

Various programs related to cleanliness will be organized every day in all stations and trains of South Eastern Railway during the fortnight running from 16th to 2nd October. On the other hand, DRM Vijay Kumar Sahu administered the oath of cleanliness to the railway workers along with the railway officials, while starting the Swachhta Hi Sewa Pakhwada under the Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat in Chakradharpur Railway Division. The DRM said that I take an oath that I myself will be aware of cleanliness and will give time for it. I will fulfill this resolution of cleanliness by donating 100 hours of labor every year i.e. two hours every week. I will not mess up, nor will I allow anyone else to do it. First of all I will start with myself, my family, my locality, my village and my workplace. On this occasion, the DRM advised the railway workers to adopt cleanliness in life. Senior DCM Manish Kumar Pathak, ADRM BK Sinha, Dr S Saren, Senior DSO Ashok Kumar Agarwala and officers of all departments were present on the occasion.

Cleanliness campaign launched in Adityapur, railway workers took oath

A campaign was also conducted at various stations during the Swachhta Pakhwada. During this, an oath of cleanliness was administered to the railway workers. Chief Yard Master Pradeep Kumar started the campaign at Adityapur station of Chakradharpur Railway Division and administered the oath to the railway workers. On this occasion, working president of the Men’s Union Mukesh Kumar and secretary D Arun encouraged the railway workers by joining the campaign. On this occasion R Singh, Varun Kumar, Santa Rao, AK Mahakud, Rajkumar, Rajesh Kumar, Mon Shamim etc. were present.
