‘Sensed Something Wrong’: Actor Prithvi Pratap Reveals Shocking Incident

Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra Season 2 winner Prithvi Pratap has shared a shocking experience with an auto-rickshaw driver who allegedly planned to rob him. The actor shared the incident, posting a picture and note on his Facebook account. The incident happened on the late night of 22 January near Bandra in Mumbai when Prithvi was returning home after shooting an advertisement.

However, he called the police control room and the local police who reached the spot immediately rescued him. According to Prithvivik’s Facebook post, the auto driver has been identified as Rajesh Kumar Yadav, whose rickshaw number is MH 02 EQ 0172.

Sharing the picture of the rickshaw puller, Prithvi wrote, ‘On 21/01/2022 at around 9 pm, I left for home after shooting from Green Valley Studio, Mira Road. I took a rickshaw from outside the studio gate. When I was going towards my home on Western Express Highway, the driver suddenly diverted the rickshaw towards Kandivali. I asked him why he took the wrong route from Ghodbunder to Thane, but he did not answer me and started driving towards Vasai. I told him again that the Ghobandar has left, where are you going?”

“I found something wrong and immediately dialed 100 and informed the police. As soon as the rickshaw driver heard me talking to the police, he stopped the auto near the Fountain Hotel. I got out of the auto and took his photo and asked him to show my ID card or any permit but he refused to do so, confirming that it was a failed attempt to rob me,” he further wrote.

The actor also mentioned in his Facebook post that he had to befriend the higher police officials of the city to expose the auto driver.

Prithvi has thanked Maharashtra Police and wrote, “All credit goes to Sr PI Vasant Labde and Balu Awhad for sending immediate help to me. The reason I am writing this post is that many of my actor friends shoot till late at night at the Mira Road studio. So, it is mainly to make them aware. Thank you Mira-Bhayandar Police Commissionerate. Thank you Mumbai Police.”

Prithvi Pratap has worked in many Marathi films in his career. Recently, she was also seen in Ranveer Singh-starrer film 83, which released in December 2021.
