Selja’s resignation from the post of Haryana Congress President! State in-charge denied

After Punjab, now there are signs of upheaval in Haryana Congress as well. Information is coming that Haryana Congress state president Kumari Selja has resigned from her post. Although its official confirmation is still awaited, but it is being told that Selja had met Congress working president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday. During this time he had offered to step down as president. On the other hand, Haryana in-charge Vivek Bansal has dismissed the information about the resignation of Kumari Selja.

Let us tell you that factionalism is in full swing in Haryana Congress. Before the assembly elections, to balance the state Congress, former MP Kumari Selja was made to sit on the chair of the head. Since the defeat of Congress in Punjab and UP elections, there is a stir in the state Congress. Former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda Group is engaged in lobbying for the post of state president of Congress. Efforts are being made to make Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda the state president of Congress.

Selja was made Congress state president in 2019

Before the assembly elections 2019, there was a dispute between the then state president Ashok Tanwar and Bhupendra Singh Hooda regarding ticket distribution. Not seeing his progress in front of the Congress high command, Tanwar resigned from the post of state president. After this the command of Congress was handed over to Selja. But the MLA who won the election is Hooda’s camp. The MLAs of Hooda camp are not giving attention to the Congress state president. Hooda himself, the former CM and leader of the Legislature Party, also does not attend the programs of Kumari Selja and the party.

7 MLAs came on 7th April

Congress held a protest against inflation in Chandigarh. On this day 7 Congress MLAs had come to participate in the demonstration. But 24 MLAs including Hooda did not come. Even Selja is angry with this. The Congress high command is not taking any action on the Hooda camp nor is giving the responsibility of forming an organization to Selja. Hence Selja has submitted her resignation to the party.
