Second phase of Bhanupally-Bilaspur-Beri rail line: After the break-through, the finishing work of all the seven tunnels started

After the seven tunnel break-through of the Bhanupally-Bilaspur-Berry railway line project, the work of the second phase started on Saturday. In this phase the internal finishing of the tunnel will be done.

Rajeev Soni, Chief Project Manager, Max Infra Limited Company, said that the finishing work on Tunnel-6 started with the ritualistic worship. Under the Bhanupally-Bilaspur-Bairi railway line project, 7 tunnels and 5 bridges are being constructed in 63.1 km long track from Dharot to Bairi in the border of Bilaspur district. Their total length is 3.5 km.

Soni told that all the tunnels have been break-through, now their finishing work has started. Under this, other works including grouting will be completed. A lot of material will be used for this, while it will also take more time.

Two railway stations will be built in Nayanadevi area

Soni told that Tunnel No.-6 is the shortest in length. Efforts will be made to complete the finishing work of the seven tunnels by the end of this year. He said that two railway stations would be built in Nayanadevi area. One of these will be built in Thalu and the other in Dharot.

He said that this would facilitate the devotees visiting the famous Shaktipeeth Nayanadevi from the country and abroad. They will be able to reach the religious city easily from these railway stations. Significantly, this railway line project of strategic importance has got in-principle approval till Leh.
