Scorpio overturned after hitting the pavement, woman died: Mother and son were going to pay obeisance at Gurudwara, suddenly the balance of the car was disturbed, the woman fell down from the flyover

A woman sitting in the car was killed while the car driver was badly injured when a speeding car hit the pavement in North West Delhi on Sunday.

The matter is of Ashok Vihar flyover of Bharat Nagar. Where a high speed Scorpio car collided with the pavement and overturned. As soon as the collision occurred, the car jumped and fell on the road breaking the railing.

After jumping the car, breaking the railing of the flyover fell on the road and got damaged.

Woman fell from the flyover after getting out of the car

As soon as the car jumped, the woman sitting in it came out and fell down from the flyover. The 21-year-old son of the woman who was driving the car was injured in the accident. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the mother and son to a nearby hospital. Where doctors declared the woman brought dead. While the son was discharged from the hospital after first aid. The police has handed over the body of the woman to the relatives after conducting a post-mortem.

According to the police, the deceased woman has been identified as Poonam Bhatia (45). She lived with her husband Ritesh Bhatia and son Vats Bhatia in Phase-1, Ashok Vihar. Poonam was a teacher in a school located on Kanjhawala Road in Rohini. Vats Bhatia is a third year student from Delhi University Open. Ritesh Bhatia is working in a private company.

Mother and son were going to pay obeisance in the gurudara

The family returned home from a birthday party held at the Royal Banquet Hall on Saturday night, a police officer said. Then in the early morning, mother and son were going to pay their respects at Nanak Pyau Gurudara on GT Karnal Road.

Vats was driving the car. The car suddenly went out of control and hit the pavement near the Satyavati College flyover. After jumping the car, breaking the railing of the flyover fell on the road and got damaged. During the jump of the car, Poonam got out of the car and fell under the flyover. People passing by informed the police about the road accident at around 5 am.
