Schools to be reopened after Covid curve flats: TN School Education Minister Ambil Mahesh

Chennai: Tamil NaduSchool Education Minister Ambil Mahesh said that the Chief Minister will decide on reopening of schools in Tamil Nadu as per the decision of parents and students.

In Trichy, a program was organized to provide corona relief funds and materials to the temple employees working under the Treasury Department. Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Ambil Mahesh participated and distributed relief materials. According to ABP Nadu, he later told reporters that “a decision on reopening the schools will be taken once the corona pandemic subsides.”

At the same time, there is an atmosphere of uncertainty regarding the third wave of Corona. It is doubtful whether children will be affected by the next corona waves. Therefore, we will bring to the notice of the Chief Minister the guidelines given by the World Health Organization (ICMR). He said the Chief Minister would decide on the reopening of schools in Tamil Nadu.

Due to the second wave of Covid, the enrollment of students for the new academic year was disrupted for the second time in the state. Since July 14, students have been enrolled in schools in 27 districts where the virus cases are less. However, the Tamil Nadu government has said that schools are not allowed to conduct classes and students can visit schools and colleges to apply for admission or obtain an alternative certificate.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming academic year, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has launched a program to broadcast the lessons prepared in the form of video lessons for classes II to X through educational channels on television.
