Savarkar has no problem eating beef: Digvijay
Digvijay Singh said, “Veer Savarkar had said in his book that Hinduism has nothing to do with Hindutva. He never considered a cow as ‘mother’ and did not mind eating beef.”
The Congress leader also claimed on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will change the Constitution and end the reservation system if it comes to power again in 2024. He was speaking during the Jan Jagran Abhiyan here, Singh said that the Congress’s fight is the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The Congress leader reiterated that Hindutva has nothing to do with Hinduism. “Our fight is with the ideology of RSS. If BJP comes back to power in 2024, they will first change the constitution and end reservation,” he said.
The Congress party had launched a nationwide agitation programme, ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’, on 14 November to expose the mismanagement of the economy by the Centre.
