Satej Patil tasked with keeping Congress candidates together ahead of Goa election results

new Delhi: Ahead of the results of the assembly elections in Goa, the stir in the Indian National Congress (INC) has intensified.

According to ABP News sources, Congress leader Satej Patil, who is also Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Home (Urban), has been entrusted with the responsibility of putting together Congress candidates.

They may be shifted to Kolhapur or Rajasthan to keep the Congress candidates together. Patil hails from Kolhapur and is a member of the Maharashtra State Legislative Council.

Several Congress MLAs had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after the 2017 assembly elections in Goa. Despite being the single largest party, the Congress could not form the government in Goa.
