Sara Ali Khan is an ardent follower of Lord Shiva. She often visits religious places associated with the goddess and posts pictures on her Instagram. Today, on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri, Sara again took to her social media to wish her fans.
In the photo shared by Sara on Instagram, she is seen posing in front of the Omkareshwar temple located in Madhya Pradesh. She is wearing a white dupatta and has sandalwood on her forehead. Sharing the picture, Sara wished her fans a happy Mahashivratri.
Sara had gone to the banks of river Narmada when she was shooting for her next film with Vicky Kaushal. He spent quality time there and did not miss a chance to visit one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Not only this, a few weeks ago Sara and her mother Amrita Singh visited Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling in Ujjain. Sara posted a bunch of pictures from their trip, which she captioned as “Maa and Mahakal”.
Sara’s belief in Lord Shiva is one of the reasons why she made her acting debut with the film based on Bholenath. Sara’s debut film Kedarnath was based on the historic Kedarnath temple and the 2013 Uttarakhand floods that caused massive destruction in the region.
Sara’s aunt, actor Soha Ali Khan along with Kunal Khemu celebrated Mahashivratri by organizing a small puja at her place. Kunal shared a glimpse of Pooja on his Instagram account. In the video posted by Kunal, he can be seen blowing a conch shell. His daughter Inaya can be seen pouring water on the idol of Shiva while a priest performs the puja.
Captioning the video, Kunal wrote, “Herath Mubarak Wishing everyone a very Happy Mahashivratri, wishing everyone peace, happiness, love and light, Om Namah Shivay.”
