Sara Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are all set to team up for the first time. They will be star in a film directed by Panchayat web series director Deepak Mishra. Well, nothing has been made official. But India Today has exclusively reported that the film is reportedly set against the backdrop of a rural folk story.
India Today quoted sources saying that the film is scheduled to begin production in 2025. It will be exciting to see Sara and Sidharth, who have never worked together before, share the screen. Earlier, Pinkvilla also quoted a source saying, “It’s a high-on drama and emotion film, set against backdrop of a folklore deep-rooted in Hindu Mythology. The makers have the vision to create a unique cinematic experience like Kantara with the feature film. While Sid is expected to hear the final narration in November, the makers are aiming to take the film on floors in 2nd half of 2025. He will sign the dotted lines once the final narration takes place.”
On the work front, Sidharth is reportedly in advanced talks to headline ‘Race 4’ alongside Saif Ali Khan. “While Ramesh Taurani has a team of in-house writers working on the basic plot of Race 4, he has brought in seasoned writers and directors to develop it into a full-fledged screenplay. Conversations with Sidharth Malhotra have already begun to bring him on board alongside Saif Ali Khan. Sidharth is a fan of the Race franchise and is keen to take on this role,” a source told Pinkvilla.
On the other hand, Sara is currently shooting with Ayushmann Khurrana in Manali for an untitled film. Nothing much has been shared about. It is a comedy spy film. she was last seen in Ae Watan Mere Watan. She has many projects in her kitty, including the much-anticipated Metro… In Dino, and Sky Force.
