Sanya Malhotra expresses concern over women’s safety in New Delhi: ‘I don’t feel safe there’

New Delhi native Sanya Malhotra expressed concern over the safety of women in the country’s capital. The actress, who currently resides in Mumbai, preferred the coastal city over Delhi in terms of safety and security.

In a conversation with Crime Tak, the actress shared her varied experiences of living in both the cities. She said, “I am from Delhi and there is a very good reason why I like Mumbai more than Delhi. I feel more secure in Mumbai. I don’t know if Delhi has improved or not, but I don’t feel safe there. I can’t even give any reason for this. I don’t think there is a single woman in Delhi who has not faced molestation.

Talking about her time in Delhi, the actress revealed that the Nirbhaya rape case tarnished the reputation of the city and increased fear and anxiety among women. The horrific case made her parents more paranoid about her safety. Gargi’s alumni also admitted that they were not aware of whether the situation in Delhi has improved for women.

The Dangal actress recently made headlines after she bought a house in Juhu. He is now the neighbor of Hrithik Roshan.
