Telugu cinema’s top hero Akkineni Nagarjuna is renewing his partnership with director Kalyan Krishna, with whom he collaborated for his upcoming film ‘Bangaaraju’ with the 2016 hit ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’.
Billed as a romance and family drama, ‘Bangaaraju’ is being geared up for a Sankranti release next year by its makers. In fact, ‘Sogde Chinni Nayana’ also hit the screens on Sankranti (January 15, 2016) and went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.
However, ‘Bangaaraju’ is up for some serious competition, as the much-awaited films of Telugu cinema gear up for the Sankranti season.
Major star vehicles slated for Sankranti 2022 release include ‘Bhimla Nayak’ starring Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati and Nitya Menon; ‘Sarkaru Vaari Pata’ with Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh; Prabhas and Pooja Hegde-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’; And the much awaited ‘RRR’ with NTR and Ram Charan.
Well, Nagarjuna will not be alone when it comes to these films. If industry grapes are to be believed, the cast of ‘Bangaaraju’ includes Ramya Krishna as the female lead of Nagarjuna, while Naga Chaitanya and Kriti Shetty play the other couple.
