Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt on Wednesday took to social media to remember his late mother and veteran actress Nargis Dutt on her birth anniversary. The actor also posted a throwback picture that brought back memories of his late mother.
The KGF Chapter 2 actor posted a priceless picture with his mother on Instagram. Along with the photo he wrote, “Your smile kept me strong, your words kept me grounded, and your spirit lifted me to my lowest level. You were the best I could ever ask for. Happy Birthday Yes, mother ️.”

Soon after the picture was posted, many fans took to the comments section to pay tribute to the late actress.
Sanjay’s daughter Trishala also commented and wrote, “Love you dad ️.”
Sanjay Dutt’s sister Priya Dutt also remembered her late mother on Instagram. Priya said that Nargis Dutt lived “to the fullest” in her short life of 52 years. She wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday to the most beautiful person. In her short life of 52 years she was totally loved and laughed with all her heart, she touched so many lives with her goodness and pure heart. To you Love you always and forever mom and miss you so much.”
Earlier last month, Sanjay marked Nargis Dutt’s 41st death anniversary by posting some old pictures of the late actress on social media.
The iconic star passed away on May 3, 1981, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Naris Dutt is known for her memorable performances in Mother India, Awara and Shree 420.
Nargis passed away three days before the release of Dutt’s debut film Rocky. In Nargis’s honour, a chair was left vacant between Sunil Dutt and Sanjay at the premiere of Rocky on May 7, 1981.
Meanwhile, on his work front, Sanjay Dutt is currently working on the success of his last film, KGF: Chapter 2, where he played the role of Palan. The film starred Yash in the lead role and also featured actors like Prakash Raj and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. Sanjay Dutt has some exciting projects coming up like Shamshera, Ghudchadi and Prithviraj.
