Producer Sandeep Singh has revealed how Kartik Aaryan, once a close friend, now ignores him since becoming a star.
Producer Sandeep Singh, in an interview, shared how Kartik Aaryan, who was once one of his best friends, now ignores him since becoming a star. He remembered that before Karthik’s fame, they used to hang out, eat together and have fun. But now, Kartik doesn’t even respond to his messages.
In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep mentioned that he had helped Kartik by introducing him to important people like Ramesh Taurani and Bhushan Kumar. “I sent Kartik the trailer of my film Safed, but he didn’t share it. Ho sakta hai jab woh star nahi tha maine usse daant diya tha (Maybe I had scolded him back when he wasn’t a star). Will you keep it in your heart to this day? Why didn’t you tell me back then?” said Sandeep.
He continued, “I thought he will come and tell me ‘Let’s work together because I know you are talented’ when he becomes a star. But he didn’t. He had come to become an actor, but he has become a control freak. He’s actually a very nice guy, but success has gone to his head. I keep sending him our old photos, but doesn’t even acknowledge them. I want to tell him on camera that time changes but relationships stay the same. Today, I see the way he behaves in front of the paps, he’s not the Kartik I know.”
Sandeep Singh was also in news post actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in 2020. Wuestions were raised about Sandeep’s relationship with the late actor. Sandeep, who claimed to be Sushant’s close friend, was under the scanner after Sushant’s family said that they did not know him. He then received a huge backlash online from Sushant’s fans for allegedly lying. Sandeep had also alleged that Mouni stopped talking to him ever since he was embroiled in a controversy in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
He had told Timesnow.com, “I’m deeply hurt by Mouni Roy. She was one of my best friends, she used to follow me on Instagram. We would hang out together and go for lunches and dinners. Whenever she wanted to meet a big filmmaker, I would go with her. I even met her husband Suraj Nambiar long before they got married. When the Sushant Singh Rajput controversy erupted, she was the first one who backed out and unfollowed me.”
