Saurabh Sachdeva will be seen in Bad Cop this weekend. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, the actor opened up about the new show and Animal Park.

Bollywood actor Saurabh Sachdeva has shared an update on Animal Park. The actor, who played Bobby Deol’s brother in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, is set to reprise his role as Abid ul Haque for the sequel. Saurabh’s return was confirmed in the post-credit scene of the film. While fans are eager to see him and Ranbir Kapoor reunite on the big screen, Saurabh has exclusively told News18 Showsha that they may have to wait a little longer for the sequel.

“I have no idea (when the film will take off). I have not had a chat with the production or director. Sandeep Reddy Vanga said ‘abhi toh time hai, I’m making the other film (Prabhas’ Spirit). And Ranbir is doing Ramayana so usmein bahut time lagega. It is going to take time — it could be 2026, it could be 2027, I have no idea. I don’t even know the story yet, I don’t know if he’s written it or if it is in his mind, or even have a rough structure of it, I have no idea,” he told us.

While fans will have to wait to see Saurabh and Ranbir reunite, the actor will soon be seen in Bad Cop releasing this week. In the Disney+ Hotstar series, Saurabh plays the role of a murder investigator. He is investigating the murder of his close friend.

The actor said in our conversation that there were two factors that led him to signing the project. The first was his co-stars on the show. He said that he wanted to work with Gulshan and Harleen Sethi. Another reason, he explained, was that he was getting to play the role that wasn’t negative.

Saurabh confessed that though the experience was memorable, he did face a few challenges. “My challenge was to connect with these circumstances which were happening in the story. There wasn’t any relationship to hold on to in this series. So I am just holding on to this case which was difficult for me. Obviously action was (also difficult). I did get hurt as well,” he admitted.

Recalling the first day on the sets, Saurabh said, “I was not able to learn the lines because lines were given on the spot and I couldn’t comprehend them. I couldn’t have control of the situation. Thanks to the director (Aditya Datt), who said that he will shoot Harleen and Gulshan’s parts first till I learn my lines.” Gulshan added, “He has dyslexia that make it difficult.”
