Samsung launches new soundbar lineup for India that includes first 11.1.4 channel soundbar

South Korean electronics giant samsung has launched its latest soundbar lineup for India. In the recently launched soundbar, the electronics giant has also introduced the world’s first 11.1.4 channel soundbar. The new Q-Series, A-Series and S-Series soundbars have been tuned at the company’s Audio Lab in Valencia, Calif. The new soundbar lineup will be available starting today across all major consumer electronics stores and online platforms including Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop. The Q-series sunbar comes with four models – Q950A, Q900A, Q800A and Q600A. The Samsung A-series soundbar comes in three models – A670, A550 and A450. On the other hand, the S-series has only one model, Samsung S61A The most affordable of these soundbars is the A-series, priced at Rs 27,990.

The Q series soundbar models – Q950A, Q900A, Q800A, and Q600A will be available for Rs 147,990, Rs 111,990, Rs 61,990 and Rs 43,990 respectively. A series soundbar models including A670, A550 and A450 will be available for Rs 47,990, Rs 33,990 and Rs 27,990 respectively. On the other hand, the S61A is priced at Rs 47,990 in the country. Consumers buying the soundbar can avail 10 percent additional cashback of up to Rs 6,000 on all major credit and debit cards of HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Federal Bank and Bank of Baroda. Samsung said all soundbars come with a 12-month warrant.

The Q-series soundbar is the world’s first soundbar with 11.1.4 channels that send detailed expressions of sound speed in 11 directions. The speakers also use Samsung’s WaveGuide technology which enables the up-firing speaker to project audio at you, maximizing overhead and surround sound effects. There is support for Q-Symphony which allows your soundbar to sync with your Samsung TV. The soundbar comes with other features like SpaceFit Sound, which is claimed to automatically analyze the environment around your living space and deliver customized sound for you. There’s also a Game Mode Pro, and the soundbar can be controlled with a Samsung TV remote. It also has built-in Amazon Alexa and new support for Airplay2 via OTN so it can be used to stream audio from iPhones and other Apple ecosystem devices.

The Samsung A-series soundbars, on the other hand, support Dolby Audio/DTS Virtual:X. It has a Bass-Boost feature that delivers more powerful sound and allows users to add more bass with a simple click. There is an Adaptive Sound Lite feature that provides optimized sound for TV series, sports and news by automatically analyzing the audio track of each content. The A-series soundbars also have an in-built wireless subwoofer and they also support One Remote technology which allows users to control the soundbar with a Samsung TV remote.

The Samsung S61A soundbar, on the other hand, has a side horn speaker along with an acoustic bean that helps in providing a surround sound experience. The acoustic beam has several up-firing holes. The side horn speakers on both ends of the soundbar have a massive distribution with the sound acting like a megaphone that amplifies the sound. The S61A also features a premium fabric design and comes with built-in Alexa. Airplay2 has recently been supported via OTN allowing it to be used to stream audio from iPhones and other Apple ecosystem devices.
