The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is set to launch soon as the predecessor to the company’s Galaxy Buds lineup. After the pricing of the Galaxy Buds 2 last month, a fresh tip has revealed most of the key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. The latter sports a familiar design already seen in the Samsung True Wireless earbuds family, and brings more features. Like active noise cancellation with ambient sound mode, 11.5mm woofer with 6.5mm tweeter as part of its acoustic driver setup, and more. All things considered, the Galaxy Buds 2 appears to be an incremental upgrade compared to its previous offerings so far, and it doesn’t even feature a design refresh.

Calling and audio reception will reportedly be handled by a triple microphone array. In terms of battery life and charging, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will offer 18 hours of playback with ANC turned on, which includes five hours of playback through the earbuds. Without ANC, that extends to 28 hours, with eight hours through the earbuds. The tip reveals that the Galaxy Buds 2 will be able to deliver 55 minutes of audio playback in just five minutes of charging time, and the charging case will also support wireless charging with Qi certification.
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is said to feature an 11.5mm woofer and 6.5mm tweeter in its dynamic audio driver setup, which seems more or less within the expected range of things. The earbuds are also said to offer IPX7 splash and dust resistance ratings to support use during workouts. Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy Buds 2 may arrive with a price tag of around Euro 149 in the global markets, which translates to around Rs 11,500 in India. However, local pricing will of course vary – as also recently seen in the Nothing (Ear) 1 true wireless earbuds. The earbuds will be launched at an upcoming Samsung event on August 11, along with other devices like the new Samsung Galaxy Watch lineup.
