Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is official. The company today launched a new smartphone in its Galaxy A-series lineup in India, making it the first 5G-enabled handset for the series.
With the Galaxy A22 5G, Samsung is offering 11 bands of support for a 5G experience along with a two-year OS upgrade guarantee.

samsung Galaxy A22 5G has been launched in two storage models. The base model offers 6GB RAM and is priced at Rs 19,999. The second model that offers 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 21,999. Both the variants pack 128GB internal storage.
Interested buyers will be able to buy the handset from both online and offline channels.
Talking about launch offers, Samsung is giving a cashback of Rs 1500 on the purchase of Galaxy A22 5G.

At this price, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G competes with the Xiaomi Mi 10i (up from Rs 20,999) and the Realme X7 5G (up from Rs 19,999). At home, it faces competition from the Galaxy M51 (from Rs 21,999 onwards), Galaxy F62 (from Rs 23,999 onwards).
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Specs
The Galaxy A22 5G sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which Samsung claims provides smooth multitasking and minimizes power consumption.
In terms of storage, buyers get two options of 8GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB, however, there is microSD card support of up to 1TB with the handset.
For imaging duties, the Galaxy A22 5G packs a triple rear camera of 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. There is an 8MP sensor at the front.
Equipped with a 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy G22 smartphone comes with 15W fast charging support.
The device runs on Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1 out of the box and as mentioned above, Samsung promises to roll out two years of OS upgrades with it.
Buyers get to choose from three color options – Grey, Mint and Violet.
