Samrat Prithviraj Box Office Collection Day 1After fighting many controversies Akshay Kumar And Manushi Chhillar’s historical drama Samrat Prithviraj released in theaters on June 3 (Friday). The film started off slow during the first few morning shows but picked up pace later. However, it failed to beat the record earnings of Bachchan Pandey and The Kashmir Files. The film clashed with the South films Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad and Adivasi Shesh’s Major. However, it faced stiff competition from Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As per Box Office India report, “The first day business of the film will be in the net range of 10-5-11 crores which is a low number but very high. It expects more momentum in the weekend as compared to the morning. ”
The film has been declared tax-free in some states including UP, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. “UP is at the forefront of the film and it has done much better, especially on single screen. Bihar’s numbers will come in the morning and it can do well in many centers there as well. The next best are Rajasthan, Gujarat/Saurashtra and MP. in order.”
BOI suggests, “The collection is slightly less than that of Bachchan Pandey, but it was released on Holi at the box office with The Kashmir Files, but the trajectory here will be far better than that of Bachchan Pandey.”
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh rated the film as “exciting” and gave it a 3.5 star rating. He tweeted, “#OneWordReview…#SamratPrithviraj: Thrilling. Rating: 3.5 stars.
