Sameer Wankhade Making ‘Baseless Allegations’ Ever Since Booked for Bribery: Sources from NCB to News18

Sameer Wankhede on Friday approached the Bombay High Court against the CBI’s action in the alleged bribery case in the drugs-on-cruise case involving actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan. The Bombay High Court will hear the matter on May 22.

Former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede, who recently produced alleged chats with actor Shah Rukh Khan leading to the arrest of his son Aryan Khan after he was allegedly demanded Rs 25 crore Have been booked for, since then making baseless allegations. Drugs on Cruise case, top NCB sources have told News18.

Aryan Khan’s statement in this case was recorded by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in November 2021 at the RAF camp in Navi Mumbai. His statement recorded by the SIT has been annexed to the complaint.

Wankhede appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the second day of questioning in the bribery case. On Saturday, the CBI questioned Wankhede for more than five hours.

The Bombay High Court will hear the matter on May 22. Till then the High Court has given him protection from arrest.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB here on October 3, 2021 following an alleged drug seizure on the Cordelia cruise ship. He was granted bail by the High Court three weeks later as the anti-drugs agency had failed to prove its allegations against him.

The CBI alleged that the Mumbai Zone of the NCB received information about the consumption and possession of narcotics by various persons on a cruise ship in October 2021 and that some officers of the NCB conspired to take bribe from the accused in exchange for their release.
