Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently opened up on her battle with myositis, an auto-immune disease that causes muscle spasms. However, Samantha has proved to be a brave one, not allowing her illness to be a setback in her professional career. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Shakuntalam. He has also resumed his work commitments to shoot for Raj and DK’s upcoming film Citadel (Indian adaptation).

Recently the Telugu beauty who is on the road to recovery visited the famous Palani Murugan temple in Tamil Nadu to seek blessings. Samantha’s pictures from the temple are now being widely circulated on social media platforms.

In the pictures, the Yashoda actress wore a simple white salwar kameez which she teamed with a grey-printed dupatta. She tied her hair in a loose ponytail and wore glasses.

Samantha climbed 600 steps to the temple complex, lit camphor at each step and worshiped the deity. He was accompanied by filmmaker C Prem Kumar. The director previously worked with Samantha in the 2020 romance drama Jaanu. The 35-year-old posed with others with a subtle smile.

The Telugu diva seems to be a spiritual person. He is often seen visiting Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati. Earlier, in 2021, Samantha had undertaken the holy Char Dham Yatra. His pictures of visiting Badrinath temple also went viral.

On the work front, Shakuntalam directed by Gunasekhar is set to hit the theaters on April 14. She has been cast opposite Malayalam actor Dev Mohan. Allu Arha, Jisshu Sengupta, Aditi Balan and Madhu have also been roped in for important roles. Besides this, Shakuntalam, Samantha also has a stronghold named after her, opposite Varun Dhawan. The film is an Indian spinoff of the original directed by Russo Brothers.

The actress also recently announced that she will resume shooting for director Shiva Nirvana’s Kushi opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
