Samantha Ruth Prabhu returned to the sets with Raj and DK’s much-anticipated upcoming series Rakht Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is finally back on the sets of her upcoming project. She was away from work commitments due to the treatment of myositis, an auto-immune disease. After a short hiatus, the actress expressed her happiness in a recent Instagram post as she returned to work. Her excitement was palpable as she shared a photo on Instagram featuring her black ID card with a bloody green and golden crown from the sets of the upcoming OTT series Rakt Brahmand.

It is directed by Rahi Anil Barve and created by Raj and DK. Apart from the ID card, we also spotted her favourite cup of coffee and her leather bag. Alongside the snap, she wrote, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while. #RaktBrahmand, D2R Films, Netflix Indian.”

Soon after Samantha made the announcement, Disha Patani wished her “All the best,” while ace director Neeraja Kona wrote, “Never ever stop… kill it papa like always.” Meanwhile, Samantha’s fans have been jumping in joy ever since they learned about the actress’ return to the sets amid her treatment. Her resilience and determination inspire many.

Mirzapur star Ali Fazal has reportedly joined the cast of Raj and DK’s upcoming web series opposite Samantha. Additionally, reports suggest that Wamiqa Gabbi and Aditya Roy Kapur will collaborate with Samantha on the Netflix original series Rakht Brahmand. The fantasy drama Rakt Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom’s shoot began on September 19.

After a brief holiday, Wamiqa kicked off the shoot of the new series. As per a source, she has undergone intensive training to deliver a powerful and memorable performance in the Netflix original series.

On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in the spy thriller series Citadel: Honey Bunny, created by Raj and DK, and written and directed by Raj and DK and Sita Menon. The spin-off to the American television series Citadel will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. She also has a Telugu movie titled Bangaram, which is expected to hit theatres in 2025. The film marks Samantha’s entry as a producer.

Talking about her myositis treatment, Samantha was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease in 2022. Following this, she took a hiatus from the industry and constantly updated her fans about her health. She even took Ozone therapy, steroid shots and went on much-awaited vacations.
