‘Sam Bahadur’ Fairs Below Average At The Box Office On Monday

‘Sam Bahadur’ starring Vicky Kaushal dropped significantly at the box office and collected around Rs 3 crore at the box office on Monday. The film is facing a tough competition from Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’ in theatres.

As reported, ‘Sam Bahadur’ minted Rs 3.50 crore on Day 4 which is a huge drop from its Day 3 collection of around Rs 10.03 crore. Now, the total box office collection of the film stands at Rs 29.05 crore.Due to a strong competition from Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’, the Vicky Kaushal-starrer seems to have been affected.

‘Sam Bahadur’ is an biographical film which narrates the life story of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, with Vicky Kaushal portraying the titular role. Sanya Malhotra essays the character of his girlfriend, while Fatima Sana Sheikh portrays the role of the country’s former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The film delves into the life and journey of this real-life hero, bringing to the screen an inspiring narrative.

Manekshaw played a crucial role in the Indo-Pak War of 1947 and the Hyderabad crises of 1948. He then led Indian Army and came out victorious in the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

On getting to play the role of Sam Manekshaw, Vicky said, “Playing the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw is an immense responsibility and a huge honour. We’ve poured our hearts into bringing to life one of India’s great heroes on screen. I’m humbled to be a part of this project that is so inspiring.” The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
