Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone celebrate 25 years in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cinema

Ranveer Singh on Monday celebrated 25 years of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali Bollywood In the most SLB way, to say the least. The actor shared a video on his Instagram profile, marking the filmmaker’s milestone in the industry. The three-minute and 48-second video is a trip down memory lane with snippets from SLB’s most iconic films. The video contains scenes from movies like Khamoshi: The Musical, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Black, Saawariya, Guzaarish, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Devdas.

The video is a treat for Ranveer’s Instafam as it has bigger-than-life sets, scintillating clothes, beautiful cinematography and dialogues inked in the minds of all Bollywood lovers. The video ends with a quote from the 58-year-old filmmaker, who said that he has enjoyed every bit of filmmaking over the past 25 years and there is still a long way to go. Ranveer, who has worked with Bhansali in several films including Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, shared the video on Instagram with the hashtag #25YearsOfSLB.

Deepika Padukone, who has co-starred with Ranveer in several of his films with SLB, shared a warm post for the filmmaker on her Instagram stories. She wrote about her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om, which released on the same date as Bhansali’s directorial Saawariya. She also wrote about the time when she was unwell and could not visit Bhansali. Seeing this situation, the director came to meet him at his house. He also wrote about the impact being with SLB had on his personal life. An excerpt from Deepika’s note read, “I say this without a doubt that I would not have been half the person I am today if it hadn’t been for SLB.”

Salman Khan, who has worked with SLB in his directorial debut Khamoshi: The Musical and later in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, shared a video and congratulated SLB. He wrote, ‘Congratulations Sanjay on completing 25 wonderful years.. @bhansaliproductions @#25YearsOfSLB #SanjayLeelaBhansali.

Bhansali made his Bollywood debut as an assistant director for the 1989 film Parinda. He made his directorial debut with Khamoshi: The Musical.
