Prabhas has been creating a buzz since the announcement of his upcoming film, ‘Salaar.’ The recent unveiling of the trailer has only intensified the excitement among fans eagerly anticipating its release. Despite earlier speculations and fan theories hinting at a possible cameo by KGF star Yash in the movie, the producer has now refuted the rumor and clarified that it’s not true.
Speaking with India Today, producer Vijay Kiragandur said, “I think Prashanth has clarified already that there is no link [between KGF and Salaar]. There’s no cameo in the movie. So that is not true.”
Earlier Child singer Theertha Subhash had accidentally mentioned Yash being in Salaar during a media talk. She later acknowledged the error and posted a clarification on her Instagram account. She wrote, “I have seen the KGF movie many times. When the opportunity arose, my father had said that Salar’s music and stuff was the KGF team. So I had in my mind that Yash uncle will also be in Salar. I was wrong (sic).”
Her parents also released a statement to provide clarification, stating, “Salar’s recording was in Mangalore. When I went there, Prashanth Neel, Ravi Basroor etc. were there. She has watched KGF so many times. Yash’s name was also mentioned in that moment. She got it wrong because all the music teams belong to KGF. She is a child”
‘Salaar’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 22. The action-packed film has undergone the Central Board of Certification (CBFC) process and secured an ‘A’ certificate. With a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes, the movie features a cast that includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.
