Saira Banu thanks Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Mumbai Police for giving Dilip Kumar a grand farewell!

New Delhi: Days after husband and veteran actor Dilip KumarOn his death, Saira Banu thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Aaditya Thackeray and Mumbai Police among others for giving him a grand farewell.

A picture has been going viral on social media since morning, shared by several fan pages on her Twitter, in which we can see a view outside Saira’s house, with a banner placed near the gate of her residence. .

Saira has reportedly put up a special banner outside her residence which read, “Very grateful to our Honorable Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray Sahab, Shri Sharad Pawar Sahab, Aaditya Thackeray Ji and Shri Sachin Ahir, Pali Hill residents and Mumbai Police. Thank you very much for your loving support and cooperation to bid farewell to a sincere Dilip Kumar sir. Thank you Mrs. Dilip Kumar.

Dilip Kumar breathed his last on 7 July 2021 at PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was honored with full state honors and his fans and well-wishers paid tribute to him on his last rites at his funeral.

The body reached the actor’s residence at 10 am on Wednesday in the presence of family members and friends. Many celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Shabana Azmi, Madhur Bhandarkar, and others were seen paying their last respects to the legend, at his residence.

The 98-year-old actor was battling age-related health issues for a long time and was accompanied by his wife Saira Banu and close friends. The thespian was buried with full state honours at Juhu Cemetery, Santacruz, Mumbai.
