Sagarika Shona Suman reveals that she is getting threatening calls after accusing Raj Kundra of making nude demands
Model Sagarika Shona Suman on Thursday claimed that she has been receiving threats, abusing and vulgar calls following her blatant allegations against Raj Kundra. After Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was sent to police custody in a pornography case, several models and actors have come forward to reveal their personal experiences with Kundra’s pornography web business.
Suman, who in a viral video had accused Kundra of demanding a nude audition from her, has now revealed that she has been receiving threats, abusing and obscene calls on Messenger and WhatsApp. “I am upset and sad because I am getting calls from different online platforms. They are threatening me. I am getting death and rape threats. People are calling me from different numbers and asking me What has been done wrong by Raj Kundra,” he said. in a video.
He continued, “They are threatening me and accusing me of shutting down my business. They even said that you guys watch porn movies so we are making it.”
Suman also said that she feels that her life is in danger because of them and said that she will file a complaint against them in the police station tomorrow. In a clip, she had claimed that Kundra offered her a role in a web series and reportedly asked her to audition naked.
“In August 2020, I got a call from Umesh Kamat, who offered me a web series produced by Kundra. When I joined the video call, he asked for a nude audition, which I refused,” she said .
The model had also held a press conference in February this year and informed about it. For the uninformed, Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on Monday night for allegedly making obscene films and publishing them through certain mobile applications.
Mumbai Police had earlier on Tuesday said that the property cell of its crime branch has so far arrested a total of 11 people, including Kundra, for their alleged involvement in the crime. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said, “He appears to be the main conspirator. We have enough evidence in this regard.”
A case was registered in the Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 for making obscene movies and using apps. According to an ACB official, these emails were sent by Yash Thakur, another person accused in the pornography case. A similar amount was allegedly demanded from him as well. However, his allegations were of vague nature and were forwarded to Mumbai Police for further action.
According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Milind Bharambe, he had a tie-up with a London-based company which was involved in streaming pornographic material through a mobile app called ‘Hotshots’. Addressing a press conference, Bharambe said that the police are yet to find any active role of Shilpa Shetty.
After the court’s permission, Kundra’s offices were searched, some clips were also found. He was arrested along with his IT chief.
