‘Safety of Brahmins tops’ on BSP victory: Riding on Vikas Dubey’s encounter, Mayawati pitches for 2022 UP polls

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Tuesday assured the Brahmin that if her party wins the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections, they will ensure the safety of the community. The assurance comes days after the BSP chief decided to fight a legal battle for the bail of 17-year-old widow Khushi Dubey, a relative of slain gangster Vikas Dubey.

“The Brahmins agree that under the BSP rule, the people of the community were in a better position than under the BJP rule. In the coming elections, we should involve more people of Brahmin community with us to form the government with majority like in 2007.” at Mall Avenue in Lucknow.

BSP National General Secretary Satish Chandra was also present during the seminar for the enlightened classes. For the keynote address, key office bearers, coordinators and sector in-charges of BSP were called from across the state on Tuesday.

Preparations were made for the BSP chief’s message to reach the party workers. A large LED screen was also installed outside the BSP office in Lucknow for the event. The main road of Lohia Path from Gomti Nagar to Mall Avenue has also been decorated with BSP flags.

The BSP chief will attend a program with party workers after a long gap, she will not only give her message to the party workers for the 2022 elections, but it is also being said that the BSP’s election bugle will be sounded by this event. . BSP national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra was given the responsibility of organizing these seminars for the enlightened sections in many parts of the state.

The first enlightened conference was held in Ayodhya and it was inaugurated by Satish Chandra Mishra after praying to Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The event was earlier called the Brahman Sammelan, but the name was changed to the Prabuddha Sammelan as per the Allahabad High Court order banning the holding of rallies and events by political parties on the basis of caste.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Prabuddha Sammelan by the BSP, UP Congress spokesperson, Anshu Awasthi said, “No matter how much the BSP organizes the Prabuddha Sammelan, Brahmins are not going to be misled by this. Where was the BSP when a Brahmin family was burnt to death in Rae Bareli? It was only Congress which raised this issue and the voice of Brahmins. It was the Congress party which raised the issue of atrocities on Brahmins in the Parliament.

“BSP suddenly remembers Khushi Dubey, but where were they when she was in jail for one and a half years. The Congress party has given six Brahmin chief ministers to Uttar Pradesh, but the BSP and other political parties start doing mushroom politics when elections are near and start such events. Barahmin people are not going to be misled, they know that Congress is their real party and they will go with Congress party. If any party in UP has guts then they should declare Brahmin CM candidate, as Congress has already given six CMs from Brahmin community to the state,” said Anshu.
