SAD joint demonstration in support of farmers in Chandigarh: Dozens of workers injured in police lathi charge, water cannons brought down turbans of many including Parminder Dhindsa

Many leaders and workers of SAD joint including Parminder Dhindsa came off their turbans using water cannon.

Amidst the ongoing tussle over agricultural laws, now the Shiromani Akali Dal United has also jumped in support of the farmers. A demonstration was held in Chandigarh on Saturday under the leadership of Parminder Singh Dhindsa on behalf of the party. Party workers tried to gherao the residences of ministers of Haryana and Punjab. During this, the activists also clashed with the police and the police had to use water cannons. The turbans of many leaders and workers, including Dhindsa, came off the water cannon. Several SAD Samyukta workers have also been injured in this clash. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals.

Parminder Singh Dhindsa told that this demonstration was done in protest against the lathi charge on farmers in Karnal in Haryana and Moga in Punjab. He says that all political parties are doing politics on agricultural laws. Trying to escape by blaming each other. Rallies are being held by Shiromani Akali Dal Badal, Congress is also holding its public meetings and Aam Aadmi Party is also campaigning. But they have nothing to do with farmers. Everyone is busy polishing their politics. Dhindsa says that today when he was gheraoing the residences of ministers of Punjab and Haryana in favor of farmers, sticks were hurled at them and their turbans were taken off with water cannons. SAD United’s first major performance
