Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to post photos and videos of his Diwali celebrations at his home on Saturday.
“Embracing the New Year with gratitude and hope, seeking blessings from Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for a path of peace and prosperity,” he posted.
Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar also posted some snaps from their Diwali celebrations.
Sachin, who retired from international cricket on November 16, 2013, is one of the greatest sportspersons of all time. During his 24-year-long international career, Sachin played over 650 matches for the Indian team across formats and scored more than 34,000 runs. He is the first and only cricketer in the world to score 100 international centuries.
