Last month, the name of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s second son was revealed. The actress’ father announced that the couple has named their child Jeh. As expected, the news was followed with a lot of buzz on social media. Back in 2016, the couple experienced a lot of trolling after they named their first son Taimur. A similar incident happened this time also. The couple has yet to publicly reveal Jah’s identity.
Reportedly, Kareena and Saif have named their second child Jahangir Ali Khan, where Jeh is short for Jehangir. A recent report in Bollywood Hungama claims that Kareena’s recently launched book has named her son as Jahangir. Reportedly, Kareena’s pregnancy bible also has her name and photo. Reports suggest that when Kareena addressed her son as Jeh throughout the book, she eventually called him Jahangir in the caption of one of the child’s pictures.
After the alleged name was revealed, netizens started buzzing about the baby. Many people trolled the couple for choosing their name. It is being claimed that the baby has been named after the fourth Mughal emperor, Jahangir. Reacting to one of the media reports, Saif’s sister Saba Ali Khan wrote a message on her Instagram stories. She wrote, “Jeh…jaan. what’s in a name? Love… live and let it be. Children are the blessings of God.”
In a follow-up post, the jewelery designer shared screenshots of several DMs where users of the photo and video sharing platform applauded the baby’s name and blessed the family.
Kareena and Saif welcomed Jeh in February this year. Earlier during an interview, Kareena mentioned that she has decided not to reveal her son’s name after the severe backlash that followed Taimur’s birth. Initially, the couple wanted to name their first son Faiz, as it is poetic and romantic. However, they went with Taimur as it means ‘iron’.
