Pretoria Capital have picked up a formidable bowling unit with the likes of Anrich Nortje and Adil Rashid. With the first match ahead, Parnell spoke to CricketNext about the strengths of his team and the advantages of having a formidable bowling unit.

He said, ‘I think it is very important to have a really strong bowling unit in T20 cricket. You know, that is probably one aspect of T20 cricket. If you want to be successful, I think this is one part you have to get right. We have a very good squad, so obviously having two experienced guys (Anrich Nortje and Adil Rashid) helps a lot, but I think we need all 11 parties to raise their hand at different stages during the competition. Will have to call for it. Parnell said.

The South African all-rounder has been a vital part of various league-based tournaments across the globe. He made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in 2010 for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), but did not get a chance to play the match. Also, he played for Pune Warriors from 2011 to 2013 and performed well in the tournament. In 2016, he also participated in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), in which he played for the Barbados Tridents. Parnell now believes in taking a bit of experience from all the different leagues and then making a mark in the SA20.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play all different types of tournaments during my career. So just trying to get a little bit of each league and we’ve got great foreigners too so just picking their brains as well.” Trying to.

we have some t20 World Cup winners in our squad, so obviously trying to figure out some of the things that they did in their kind of set-up that helped them and then trying to implement one or two of those things So that we can have our own identity and play our own brand. Cricket,” he said.

Parnell further stated the importance of the SA20 for local players in South Africa and said that the league would help players understand the level of skill required to play in the league and at the international level.

“As a leadership group, we don’t want to tell people how to go about their business. So, I think from that perspective, it’s competition and especially for local players, it’s very high I think it will probably surprise a lot of local people, but it will also make people understand the kind of level that needs to be played, first at this level and then in various T20 leagues around the world.
