South Africa’s leading pacer Kagiso Rabada was on Tuesday dropped from the squad for the three-match One Day International series against India.

This series is starting from Wednesday in Paarl.

“The Proteas seam bowler, Kagiso Rabada, has been dropped from the squad for the Betway One-Day International (ODI) series against India due to the long workload and he has to recover before the outbound Test series against India. is required. New Zealand next month,” Cricket South Africa (CSA) said in a statement.

The board said no replacement would be brought in for Rabada as there is an expanded team in the Bio-Secure Environment (BSE), but George Linde has been retained from the Test squad as an additional spin-bowling option for the series.
