rwa: Rwa Polls At Vatika G21 In 2 Months | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: The district registrar of firms and societies has appointed a returning officer to conduct RWA elections in Sector 83’s Vatika G21 within two months. This comes after some residents of the society filed a complaint in October last year alleging that a few RWA members are not following democratic process and are taking decisions “arbitrarily”.
In their complaint, the residents said the first RWA election of the society was held in February 2021, but the RWA president resigned after four months. The RWA then allegedly selected a candidate as president without conducting an election, who also resigned within two months. “Again, some RWA members selected a candidate of their choosing. Four out of the seven RWA members have already resigned,” said Amrit Lal, a resident.
In an order issued earlier this week, district registrar Sanjit Kaur observed that the process of selection of ad-hoc president was not done in a proper manner, appointing Col St. Pal (retd) as the returning officer for fresh RWA polls.
When contacted, Pal said, “I will visit the society in the coming days and will soon initiate the election process in the society as per the law.”
