According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a group of influential people who oppose President Vladimir Putin and plan to assassinate him is forming among the Russian business and political elite.

The group’s goal is to remove Putin from power as soon as possible and restore economic ties with the West ravaged by the war in Ukraine.

“Part of Russia’s political elite sees the director of the Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, as Putin’s successor. It is Bortnikov who has recently turned over to the side of the Russian dictator. The official reason for the fall of the FSS leader is Ukraine. In the war against lethal miscalculations” has said Ukraine intelligence, Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

It was Bortnikov and his department who were responsible for analyzing the views of the Ukrainian population and the potential of the Ukrainian army. It is known that Bortnikov and some other influential members of the Russian elite are considering various options to remove Putin from power. In particular, poisoning, sudden illness, or other “accident” are not excluded, intelligence said.

It is possible that these processes are connected with the recent “leakage” of the location of Chechen units north of Kyiv.”
The report said that according to intelligence, the leak may be aimed at undermining Kadyrov’s influence and as an attempt to establish cooperation with Ukrainian authorities in advance, bypassing the current leadership of the Russian Federation.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is sending another terrorist group to Ukraine to eliminate the country’s leadership. It is reported that regular groups of fighters affiliated with Yevgeny Prigozhin, a Russian campaigner close to Putin and owner of a Russian mercenary group called Liga (Wagner), have begun arriving in Ukraine. The main task of the criminals is to eliminate the top military and political leadership of Ukraine.

According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the chief “targets” of the mercenaries are: Volodymyr Zelensky, Andrey Yermak and Denis Schmihal. “Putin personally ordered some proxies to carry out new attacks. All previous attempts have ended in failure and elimination of terrorists”, reported Ukrainska Pravda.
