As Washington anticipates a “widespread attack” by Russia in eastern Ukraine, US President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that his government would supply an additional $800 million in military aid, including heavy artillery. The US has pledged $1.7 billion in security aid to Ukraine since Russia launched its “special military operation”.
