Rumi Jaffrey on the role of Rhea Chakraborty in Chehra

Since the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year, the actress Rhea Chakraborty has come to the notice of the media. Riya was shooting for the face at that time. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan And Emraan Hashmi is in the lead role. The film was scheduled to release on April 9, but was postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19.

Now, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Rumi Jaffrey has opened up about Rhea’s role in the film. He said that Rhea has a small role in the film and those who want to watch it hoping to see her in a bigger role will be disappointed.

“To be honest, he doesn’t have much to do in the face. That’s why people who go to see my film hoping to see Riya well, are left disappointed.”

Rumi also said that Rhea will not be a part of the promotion as she is “still trying to come out of her trauma.” Rumi was referring to the media trials and trolling that Riya faced on social media after Sushant’s death.

Rumi said that Amitabh and Emraan’s chemistry will be in the headlines. Speaking about Amitabh’s role in Chehre, Rumi said that Big B will surprise the audience. According to him, Amitabh’s passion for creating new characters and breaking new ground in every film will also be seen in his face.

Apart from Amitabh, Emraan and Rhea, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza will be seen in pivotal roles.
