RSS Pays Tributes To Mulayam Singh Yadav, Sharad Yadav At Its Annual Meet

Samalkha: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Sunday paid tribute to late Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, Samajwadi leader Sharad Yadav and senior advocate Shanti Bhushan at its annual general meeting here. The three-day annual general meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) began here on Sunday, with the organization paying tributes to political leaders and eminent personalities who passed away in the last one year. The list included over 100 names including Mulayam Singh Yadav, Sharad Yadav and Bhushan.

It also featured the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi and actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik. In the first session of the meeting, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale read out the names of all the eminent personalities who passed away in the last one year.

The meeting focused on creating an atmosphere of social harmony, motivating people to perform their duties and making them self-reliant. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) head of media relations Sunil Ambekar had said that the three-day meeting would also review the progress of the organisation’s expansion plan for the centenary year of its foundation in 2025.

He had said that over 1,400 office-bearers, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, would attend the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha.

He said that BJP President JP Nadda and General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh would attend the meeting.

He said that selected office-bearers of 34 organizations affiliated to the RSS, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), would also participate in it.

The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, the highest decision-making body of the RSS, is the ideological cornerstone of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Ambekar had said, “RSS shakhas are really centers of change in the society and they work for it in their respective jurisdictions on the basis of the study of the society done by the volunteers.” does.”

He said that the studies conducted by the volunteers in the last few years and the work done on their basis will be discussed in the meeting.

“It will also discuss several socio-economic issues, especially how to create an atmosphere of social harmony, motivate citizens to perform their duties and make them self-reliant,” Ambekar said.

He said it would also review the functioning of shakhas (local meeting units) and prepare a future road map. He said the House of Representatives would adopt some resolutions before the conclusion of the meeting on March 14.

Ambekar said, “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is going to complete 100 years of its establishment in 2025. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha will review the works in 2022-23 and set targets for 2023-24 as part of its centenary expansion plan.” “
