RSS Review

Post election, the Sangh has reviewed the national scenario. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s speech early this week is indicative of the ideas the RSS believes in.

Reacting to the remarks by some Opposition leaders about RSS chief Bhagwat’s speech, a senior functionary said. “They interpreted some parts of his speech as one aimed at senior members in the government, which is not true. ”

“Bhagwat ji’s statements on arrogance were not targeted at PM Modi. They have been misinterpreted. By sevak he meant swayamsevak, not anyone in particular,” he clarified.

The functionary also stated that BJP’s national president JP Nadda’s remarks about the RSS role in the election impacted the ‘morale’ of the RSS volunteers for sometime, but it settled soon. Nadda in an interview to the Indian Express said that the BJP grew stronger and more capable than before when they needed RSS.

“Nadda ji’s statement that BJP didn’t need RSS came at the wrong time. Even swayamsevaks are humans, they were disappointed. But clarification made things clearer,” said the functionary.

He further added that the Opposition’s “false” narrative about caste and the “imminent change in reservation policy” affected BJP’s electoral fortune In Uttar Pradesh.
